Steenbuck are small antelopes, with males weighing between 22-44 pounds and females weighing between 18-33 pounds. They typically stand around 2 feet tall at the shoulder.
Steenbuck have a reddish-brown coat with white fur on their underbelly and inner legs. They have large, rounded ears and short, pointed horns on their heads.
When hunting Steenbuck, it is recommended to use a rifle chambered in a small caliber, such as a .22-250 or .243. It is also important to have a good quality scope and comfortable hunting boots.
Steenbuck are often found near water sources, so it is recommended to start tracking them near a waterhole. They are also most active during the early morning and late afternoon, so these are the best times to look for them.
When hunting Steenbuck, it is important to aim for the vitals, which include the heart and lungs. The ideal shot placement is behind the shoulder, in the center of the chest cavity.
