Starts From $2500

Cape Buffalo are found in various countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Botswana. They prefer open savannas and grasslands, but can also be found in woodlands and forests.
Cape Buffalo are one of the largest bovines in Africa, with males weighing between 900 and 1,000 kg (2,000-2,200 lbs) and standing 1.5-1.8 meters (5-6 feet) tall at the shoulder. Females are slightly smaller, weighing between 500 and 700 kg (1,100-1,500 lbs).
Cape Buffalo are dark gray to black in color, with a thick coat of hair that protects them from insects and the sun. They have a distinctive set of horns that curve outward and upward, meeting at the base to form a “boss” or protective shield on the forehead.
For hunting Cape Buffalo, it is recommended to use a large caliber rifle with a minimum of .375 caliber or higher, and premium grade ammunition. A good quality scope is also important. Other recommended gear includes binoculars, a range finder, sturdy and comfortable boots, and appropriate clothing.
Cape Buffalo are often found near water sources or in areas with lush vegetation. They leave tracks and droppings that can be used to track their movements. Experienced guides and trackers can help hunters locate Cape Buffalo.
For Cape Buffalo, the recommended shot placement is in the vitals, behind the shoulder and just above the heart. A well-placed shot will bring down the animal quickly, minimizing suffering and ensuring a successful hunt.
