Itinerary:

Day 1:

Take a connecting flight from Or Tambo to Upington. You will be collected from Upington airport and taken to your first destination. Stay at a MC lodge on the road to the Kalagadi Gemsbok Park. Partake in orientation where you will go through a brief vehicle and 4×4 introduction course with our professional guide. After orientation relax at the lodge.

Day 2:

Wake up at 4 and head off early (5am) the next day to 2 Riveren. You will be accompanied by a professional guide, our chef and a camp’s assistant. Enjoy the trip with peace of mind while being escorted by professionals. Basic refreshments will be provided in the cars. Take a scenic drive through to 2 Riveren. Spend the day exploring the area. Your guide will lead you in a morning drive. to some of our secrets spots. Come back at 1’oclock for the already prepared lunch. After lunch you will have a free afternoon to explore how you want. Relax at the camps swimming pool, go off on another game drive or rest at camp.

Day 3:

Wake up at 5 to head to Mata Mata Camp and go on game drives in the area. The Satara area is well-known for Big Cat Predator drive. Come back at 1’oclock for the already prepared lunch. After lunch you will have a free afternoon to explore how you want. Relax at the camps swimming pool, go off on another game drive or rest at camp.

What animals to lookout for : This camp exhibits a variety of typical woodland birds that may also be found in and along the dry river courses of the park. Species that are present year round include Cardinal and Golden-tailed Woodpecker, Hoopoe, Pied Barbet, Swallowtailed Bee-eater, Ashy Tit, Glossy Starling and Southern Grey-headed Sparrow. Pearl-spotted Owlet and Whitefaced Owl are also common while Scops Owl can be seen or heard in some years.

Day 4:

Spend the day at Mata Mata. Explore the surrounding area. End the day off with already prepared food waiting at camp.

Day 5:

Wake up at 5 to head to Nossob Camp and go on game drives in the area. The camp is surrounded by tree savannah and is famous for spectacular predator sightings. It is also the best positioned departure point from which to explore the vast Botswana side of the park.

Come back to camp  at 1’oclock for the already prepared lunch. After lunch you will have a free afternoon to explore how you want. Relax at the camps swimming pool, go off on another game drive or rest at camp.  End the day off with a delicious dinner prepared by our chef.

See herds of gemsbok, springbok, eland and blue wildebeest follow the seasons, where imposing camel thorn trees provide shade for huge black-mane lions and vantage points for leopard and many raptors.

Day 6:

Spend the day at Nossob. Explore the surrounding area. Come back to camp  at 1’oclock for the already prepared lunch. After lunch you will have a free afternoon to explore how you want. Relax at the camps swimming pool, go off on another game drive or rest at camp.  End the day off with a delicious dinner prepared by our chef and spend the night under the stars.

Day 7:

On the day of departure, you will leave Nossob at 6am and head towards the vehicle drop-off location. After completing the vehicle drop-off process, continue your journey to OR Tambo International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, check in for your flight and proceed through security.
