In this Botswana overland package upon arrival at the airport, begin your journey at Al Thandiwe Game Farm for orientation before heading off into Botswana’s scenic landscapes. Stay at campsites throughout the country, including Moremi Game Reserve, Maun, Savuti, and others. Enjoy an adventurous afternoon quad biking in Maun and various game drives throughout Botswana. Enjoy food prepared by our qualified chef daily while relaxing at the campsite.

Itinerary Botswana Overland Package:
Day 1:
Land at OR Tambo International Airport. You will be picked at the airport and transported to Al Thandiwe Game Farm. On your first day there you will be partaking in an orientation day. You will go through a brief vehicle and 4×4 introduction course with our professional guide. After orientation relax at our beautiful Cliff Chat Lodge and taste some some of Chef Frikkie’s delicious meals.
Day 2:
Depart early the next day to Botswana. Expect a long drive so we recommend only 2 people per vehicle to ensure a comfortable ride. Refreshments will be provided. Make your way to Planet Baobab and stay the night.
Day 3:
Make your way to Maun and spend the day there at a campsite. Embark on an adventure in the afternoon on quad bikes.
Day 4:
Spend the day exploring Moremi National Park, starting with a morning game drive through its diverse landscapes, including lush woodlands and open floodplains. Keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife, such as cheetahs, hippos, and various antelope species.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking safari to experience the park’s natural beauty up close. This immersive adventure allows you to observe smaller wildlife and plant life, gaining deeper insights into the ecosystem.
As evening approaches, return to camp where a delicious, pre-prepared meal will be ready for you. Relax and enjoy the meal while reflecting on the day’s exciting experiences in the captivating Moremi National Park.
What you need to lookout for: Elephants, hippos, buffalos, blue wildebeests, impalas, red lechwe, giraffes, impala.
Day 5:
After your exploration, return to camp where a pre-prepared meal will be ready for you to enjoy as you unwind and reflect on your day.
Day 6:
Head to Savuti Camp. At Camp Savuti, guests will experience the thrill of getting close to top predators and watch them in their natural habitat. Come back at 1’oclock for the already prepared lunch. After lunch you will have a free afternoon to explore how you want.
Day 7:
Send the day exploring Savuti. Get up early and have a quick breakfast. Sett off on games drives and explore the game drive routes Savuti has to offer. Return back to camp around 1 to an already made lunch prepared by our chef. Enjoy a free afternoon exploring however you would like. Return back to camp for dinner and spend the night under the stars while having dinner.
Day 8:
Head to Ihaha early the next mroning.
Ihaha Campsite offers a lot of privacy and is not fenced so often wild animals walk around in the campsite. It is a great place to spot game when relaxing at the campsite.Return back to camp around 1 to an already made lunch prepared by our chef. Enjoy a free afternoon exploring however you would like. Return back to camp for dinner and spend the night under the stars while having dinner.
Day 9:
Spend the day at Ihaha. The campsite overlooks a hippo pool in the dry season while in the high water season the river is in full flow below the campground. Come back at 1’oclock for the already prepared lunch. After lunch you will have a free afternoon to explore how you want.
Day 10:
Head to Francis town. Spend the day in this quaint, little town and spend the night.
Day 11:
Head off early the next morning back to Johannesburg.
